What are plastic alloys made of?
Plastic alloys are a new class of materials with high performance, functionalization and specialization made by chemical grafting or physical blending. At present, general-purpose plastic alloys include PE (polyethylene), PVC (polyvinyl chloride), PS (polystyrene), and PP (polypropylene), which have a wide range of use values. Its products can be widely used in electronics, automobiles, office equipment, precision instruments, packaging materials, building materials and other fields. It can effectively improve the performance of existing plastics and reduce costs. It is one of the most active varieties in the plastics industry and is developing rapidly.
What are the characteristics of plastic alloys
Different types have different characteristics, as follows
1. PC/ABS alloy. Good mechanical properties, high impact strength, high temperature resistance, UV resistance.
2. Modified PC/ABS. Compared with ordinary PC, the fluidity is improved, the processing performance is improved, and the sensitivity of the product to stress is reduced to a certain extent.
3. Resistant to chemical solvent PC/ABS. The comprehensive performance is quite good, but its chemical resistance is poor, so it is easily eroded by chemical solvents, resulting in cracking of products.
4. Hydrolysis-resistant and stable PC/ABS. After the high temperature test, the PC in the PC/ABS still maintains more than 90% of the molecular weight, and no serious hydrolysis occurs. The impact performance of the alloy is only reduced by 15%. Compared with the general PC/ABS, the performance has been improved by more than 30%. In addition, in order to meet the requirements of thin-walled instrument panels, the viscosity of the material under high shear is reduced, which overcomes to a certain extent the disadvantage of thermal decomposition of the material caused by increasing the temperature and improving the fluidity of the material in the past. Its hydrolysis resistance and thermal stability are excellent, and it can be recycled.

Current situation of Plastic Alloy
At present, general-purpose plastic alloys, such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride), PE (polyethylene), PP (polypropylene), and PS (polystyrene) alloys still have extensive use value, but their production technology is generally mastered. Therefore, in foreign countries, most of the major companies specialize in supplying engineering plastic alloys with high added value. In the past ten years, the world's average annual demand growth rate of plastic alloys is about 10%, and the growth rate of engineering plastic alloys with the highest added value is as high as about 15%, which has become a variety actively developed by multinational companies. Among the industrialized plastic alloy varieties in the United States, Europe and Japan, engineering plastic alloys account for the vast majority, and alloying has become the main method for modification of engineering plastics. However, my country's engineering plastic alloys have few varieties and poor quality, and the annual import volume accounts for more than 60% of the total demand.
