Description
EPDM rubber is a type of synthetic rubber. It is extremely durable and flexible and therefore has a wide range of applications, including in vehicles (where it is used for window and door seals, as well as cooling system hoses), freezer, non-slip coatings for decks and playgrounds and many others besides.

Function
Compared with other commonly used general rubber or special rubber, the main performance advantages of EPDM lie in the following aspects of :
(1) Economical. Raw rubber density is only 0.86~0.90g/cm3, is the lightest common rubber material; and can be filled other material to reduce the cost and increase the weight.
(2) Excellent aging resistance, weather resistance, ozone resistance, sunlight resistance, heat resistance, water resistance, water vapor resistance, ultraviolet resistance, radiation resistance and other aging properties, and other unsaturated diene rubber such as NR, SBR, N R, N BR, and CR, EPDM can play the role of polymer antioxidant or anti-aging agent.
(3) Excellent chemical resistance, acid, alkali, detergent, animal and plant oil, alcohol and alcohol, ketones, etc.; outstanding water resistance, hot water resistance, water vapor resistance; polar oil resistance.
(4) Excellent insulation performance, volume resistivity of 1016Q · cm, breakdown voltage of 30~40MV / m, dielectric constant (1kHz, 20℃) of 2.27.
(5) The applicable temperature range is wide, and the minimum use temperature is-40~ -60℃, which can be used in 130℃ conditions for a long time.
Molecular structures and properties
EPYC is a ternary copolymer of ethylene, propylene, and non-conjugated dialkenes. Diolefins have a special structure, and only one of the two bonds can copolymerize, and the unsaturated double bonds are mainly used as cross chains. The other unsaturated one will not become the polymer main chain, but only the side chain. The main polymer chain of EPC is fully saturated. This property allows EPYC to resist heat, light, oxygen, and especially ozone. EPC is essentially unpolar, resistant to polar solutions and chemicals, with low water absorption, and good insulating properties.
About US
JF Rubber and Plastics Co., ltd offers a comprehensive range of extruded rubber profiles to suit almost every application. Our service covers the designing, manufacture, inspection and delivery. Our company manufactures a wide range of Rubber Extruded Profiles which are widely used as insulators for Aluminium profiles, UPVC profiles, weather channels, dust protection and door packing. These are manufactured using high quality EPDM raw material and we manufacture them as per the international standards. Further, these are highly effective and long lasting in nature.
What is the difference between rubber and EPDM?
Both rubbers can withstand general weathering, Ozone and UV making them ideal for outdoor applications. Tear strength/resistance is how resistant a rubber is to tearing. EPDM has good tear strength and is seen as the more durable rubber compared to silicone
